Chef and restauranteur Rick Bayless has earned numerous accolades for his Mexican cuisine with modern interpretations. Along with seven award-winning cookbooks, Rick’s career has been filled with James Beard awards; successful restaurants Frontera Grill, XOCO, and 4-star Topolobampo; and his television show Mexico- One Plate at a Time, currently in its eighth season on PBS. In 2003, Rick began the Frontera Farmer Foundation to support small Midwestern farms with grants given to local farmers. He was awarded Humanitarian of the Year in 2007, and launched the Frontera Scholarship that same year to provide full tuition scholarships for Mexican-American culinary students.
