Blue October is a rock band from Houston, Texas. The band was formed in 1995 and released an independent debut album, The Answers, in 1998. Two years later, Blue October made their major-label debut on Universal with Consent to Treatment. Their 3rd album’s first single, “Calling You,” became a Top 40 hit thanks to its inclusion on the American Wedding soundtrack, and Universal re-signed the band in the wake of such newfound success. Their next album Foiled, which was issued in April 2006, went platinum one year later. They then went on a nation-wide tour with Yellowcard. Over the course of five albums, achieving platinum sales with singles like “Hate Me” and “Into The Ocean” along with non-stop touring solidified the band’s presence in the music world.
