At National Lampoon, Orin launched a partnership with the University of Texas at Austin where he created and co-taught “National Lampoon’s Master Class in Comedy,” the first course of its kind in the nation, celebrated in newspapers and academic journals for the opportunity it provided budding filmmakers. Sensing seismic changes in the film and television industry, Orin stepped out of his traditional creative role to join the sales consulting firm 2020 Companies in 2009. Years of honing creative selling skills in Hollywood paved the way for Orin’s rapid rise in this new role. His primary client was OfficeMax and he was ultimately brought inside the Fortune 500 Company to expand their reach in the mid-market business segment. In 2013, Orin joined SME Entertainment as Director of Business Development and now serves as Vice President, where he utilizes his vast creative background along with his sales and marketing skills to deliver original speaker and entertainment solutions for clients. Orin is married to actress and short-film maker Dawn Cody. The couple lives in downtown Los Angeles with their son, Wynn, and their rescue dog, Pinto.
