Pat Benatar

Pat Benatar, born Patricia Mae Andrzejewski on January 10, 1953, is an American rock singer and four-time Grammy Award winner. Hailing from Brooklyn, New York, Benatar emerged in the late 1970s and quickly became one of the most iconic and influential female voices in the rock music scene.

Benatar's journey into music began as a classically trained mezzo-soprano, and she initially pursued a career in opera. Pat Benatar is a certified rock’n’roll superstar and a four-time Grammy winner with six platinum and four gold albums to her credit as well as such hit singles as “I Need A Lover,” “Heartbreaker,”  “Treat Me Right,” “Hit Me With Your Best Shot,” and “Hell Is For Children.” From 1980-83, she captured an unprecedented four straight Grammy’s in the category Best Female Rock Vocal Performance, with the Top Five album “Crimes of Passion” and hit singles “Fire and Ice,” “Shadows of the Night” and “Love Is A Battlefield.” She followed with the most successful album of her career in “Precious Time,” which topped the U.S. charts.
