Black Eyed Peas

For nearly three decades, Black Eyed Peas have shaped the rhythm of culture with their genre-blurring sound that blends hip-hop, pop, electro, and world beats. Formed in Los Angeles in 1995, the trio—will.i.am, Apl.de.Ap, and Taboo—have consistently redefined themselves while leaving an indelible mark on the global music scene.

With six GRAMMY® Awards, 35 million albums, and 120 million singles sold worldwide, the Peas have crafted seminal releases like Elephunk (2003) and The E.N.D. (2009) that transformed them into one of the biggest acts of their time. Their hit singles such as "Where Is The Love?", "I Gotta Feeling," and "Boom Boom Pow" defined a generation and positioned them as the second best-selling group of all time for downloaded tracks.

Following their meteoric rise and a landmark Super Bowl XLV Half-time Show performance in 2011, the group took a nearly eight-year hiatus. During this time, members explored solo projects and philanthropy while Taboo bravely battled and overcame cancer with the unwavering support of his bandmates. The trio eventually returned to their roots, reigniting their creativity and launching a new era with TRANSLATION in 2020. This album featured global chart-toppers like "RITMO" with J Balvin, which broke records and accumulated over a billion streams. The Peas continued their collaboration streak with major Latin and pop artists like Shakira, Maluma, and Ozuna, further expanding their influence across cultures and genres.

In 2022, Black Eyed Peas returned to the stage with a high-octane 26-date European tour, signalling a new chapter of live performances and hinting at even more new music. Their 2022 single “DON’T YOU WORRY,” featuring Shakira and David Guetta, was another global success, reaffirming their knack for delivering hits that resonate worldwide. Their ninth studio album ELEVATION, released in late 2022, featured chart-topping singles such as "SIMPLY THE BEST" (with Anitta & El Alfa) and "BAILAR CONTIGO" (with Daddy Yankee).

Adding to this momentum, June 2024 saw the group return with a key contribution to the Bad Boys: Ride Or Die soundtrack, the official motion picture soundtrack to the fourth instalment of the Bad Boys film series. The Peas once again brought their signature style to the franchise, continuing their legacy of connecting music and film.

The momentum continued into 2024, with Black Eyed Peas embarking on a string of major performances. In January, the group played festival and arena shows across Japan. By April, they had sold out Paris’s La Défense Arena. The summer saw them touring across Europe, with stops in Italy, Spain, Serbia, the Czech Republic, France, and Georgia. The group also embarked on a North American tour across the US and Canada in July and August, with Mexico dates lined up at the end of August. Looking ahead, they’ll be taking their show to South Africa in September as part of their ongoing global tour.

“We’re a family,” Apl.de.Ap reflects. “We have bigger dreams than ever, and we’re going to make them happen together.”

“We’ve learned a lot from our journey,” will.i.am adds. “There’s a deeper meaning in our music now. We try to bring answers and joy, by solving problems. It all starts with the music and purpose.”
